Meet travelers, stay safe
Travel is better shared, but meeting someone new abroad needs care. Here is what Travel Datings does to protect you, and what you can do too.
In the app
Built-in protection
Selfie verification
Travelers can verify with a selfie that our team reviews. Verified profiles show a blue badge, and Premium members can choose to see verified profiles only.
Report and block
Report or block anyone from their profile or a chat. Blocked people can no longer see you or message you.
Safe links in stories
Each story can carry one link. Before leaving the app, viewers see the full web address and can report the link.
Adults 18+ only
Travel Datings is only for adults. Everyone sets an age range for the people they want to see.
Private by design
Photos are processed on our servers to remove hidden location data before anyone else can see them.
Safety tips in the app
Practical advice is always one tap away in Settings, so you can check it before you meet.
Before you meet
Six tips for meeting a travel buddy
- 1
Chat in the app first
Keep the conversation in Travel Datings until you feel comfortable. It keeps reporting and blocking one tap away.
- 2
Meet in public
Choose a busy café, a walking tour or a popular viewpoint for the first meeting, never a private place.
- 3
Tell someone your plans
Share where you are going, who you are meeting and when you expect to be back with a friend.
- 4
Arrange your own transport
Get to and from the meeting on your own so you can leave whenever you want.
- 5
Keep money and documents to yourself
Never send money, share card details or hand over your passport, however good the story sounds.
- 6
Trust your instincts
If something feels off, leave, and report the profile so our team can look into it.
In an emergency
Contact local emergency services first: 112 works across the EU and in many other countries, 911 in North America. Then report the profile in the app.
